All packages include a standard buttercream cake from our baker. To secure your slot, a £75 booking fee is payable which is obviously included in the package price (£50 date retainer + £25 standard cake). Premium/custom cakes (complex designs, speciality recipes, or allergy-friendly bakes) are priced separately, we’ll provide a quote once we have your colours, flavours, and any dietary needs.

What is a Cake Smash photoshoot?
A Cake Smash photoshoot is a fun and memorable way to celebrate your baby’s first birthday by letting them explore, play, and smash a cake while capturing those precious moments on camera.

It’s best to book your session at least 3-4 weeks in advance to ensure availability and once your baby is sitting independently. Many parents schedule it around their baby’s first birthday, either before the big day to have photos ready or as part of the celebration.

Our most popular cake smash photoshoot session include three setups: Bench Setup (or optional family setup if parents/siblings join), Cake Smash Setup, and Bubble Bath Setup. All props and decorations are provided, along with editing the pictures purchased and an online gallery for selection.
You can bring your own cake or let us arrange one through our trusted local bakers. If we provide the cake, we can customise the setup to match the cake’s theme.
Absolutely! Popular themes include jungle, princess, nautical, and classic pastel colours, but we’re happy to work with you to create a bespoke theme.
Sessions are held at our cozy home studio in Flitwick (MK45, approx. 1 hour drive from Central London), equipped with everything needed for a successful photoshoot. The studio is designed for comfort and safety, with free parking on the street level.

The session duration depends on the chosen package and can range from 1 to 2.5 hours. While we aim to stick to these timeframes, the exact duration may vary depending on the baby’s comfort and needs.

Here’s a breakdown:
– Sprinkle Package: Approximately 1 to 1.5 hours for two setups
– Frost Package: Around 1.5 to 2 hours, including three setups and additional time for outfit changes and family involvement.
– Showstopper Package: Up to 2 to 2.5 hours, with three setups and additional time for outfit changes and family involvement.
We understand that babies can be unpredictable, so breaks for feeding, comforting, or settling are always included to ensure your little one feels safe and happy throughout the session. Our priority is capturing beautiful, stress-free memories for your family.

We provide a selection of outfits for the session, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you have something special in mind. Popular choices include rompers, tutus, and birthday-themed outfits.
Yes! Parents and siblings are welcome to join. If you choose to include family photos, the Bench Setup will be replaced with a family-focused setup.

Yes! If we provide the cake, it will be made with baby-friendly ingredients, free from harmful additives. Please inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions in advance.

Totally normal, some little ones dislike new textures. Tips that help, practice months in advance:

– do brief “messy-play” sessions: let them squish soft foods (yoghurt, mashed banana, applesauce).
– build gradually: dry puffs → slightly sticky banana → soft/wet yoghurt; stop early, try another day.
– model and offer choice: you touch/taste first, then let them try a fingertip or a spoon.
– repeat occasionally so textures feel familiar by their birthday.

We recommend bringing: Extra nappies and wipes, a change of clothes for your baby and yourself (in case of mess!), and any sentimental props or outfits you’d like to include.
Yes, we provide a wide range of accessories, backdrops, and props to suit your chosen theme. From colourful balloons, banners, and garlands to themed props like cake stands and unique outfits, we ensure every detail complements your Cake Smash session perfectly. You’ll have access to our extensive collection, allowing us to create a setup that’s truly special for your baby’s milestone.
Edited photos are typically ready within 3 weeks. If you’ve purchased more images, this may take up to 5 weeks. You’ll receive an online gallery to select your favourites where the pictures will have our logo watermark and will be low resolution.
Delightfully messy, without the stress. We prep the set with protective coverings, handle all clean-up, and provide wipes, towels, and a changing area. Bring a spare outfit, and if needed you’re welcome to use our shower to get baby fully clean.

Yes, we offer a range of high-quality prints and custom-designed accessories to showcase your Cake Smash photos, ask while on studio and we will be happy to help.
